The Associate Minister of Transport, Hon James Meager, has announced appointments to the new Independent Review Panel.
The AIANZ congratulates Ashok Poduval, who has been made one of the Reviewers alongside Kevin Short and Rob MacGregor.
As a result of Ashok’s appointment, he has stood down as President of the AIANZ, to avoid any conflict of interest that might arise for him in this new role.
On behalf of the Association, I would like to thank Ashok for his contribution as President over the last eighteen months, which has undoubtedly contributed to the re-emergence and success of the AIANZ. His contributions over many years on the Council have also been invaluable and we know that Ashok’s wise counsel and sound judgement is something we have all appreciated.
I am pleased to inform you that Gordon Alexander, our senior Vice President, will step up as Acting President until the AGM in Wellington in September. I know I join others in looking forward to working with Gordon.
